Paradise Cave Day Trip Adventure

06:50 AM: Our car will pick you up from your hotel in Dong Hoi City and transfer you to Paradise Cave – the longest dry cave in Asia (located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park’s core zone). It is approximately 75 km from Dong Hoi and an 80-minute drive.

OR 07:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Phong Nha Village and transfer you to Paradise Cave. Here, your guide will provide safety instructions and cave equipment.
You will then be taken by golf cart (1.6 km) from the main gate through the jungle, where you will hike an incline to the mouth of the cave, enjoying spectacular views of the mountainous region surrounding the cave.
Once inside, you will explore the first 1000 meters of the cave along a wooden staircase and boardwalk, admiring hundreds of colorful stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years.
Following our experienced and enthusiastic guide, you will continue beyond the boardwalk to venture further inside, exploring more than 6000 meters of the cave with your personal flashlight. Overcoming the cliff path will challenge your courage and perseverance as you discover the colorful and richly shaped stalactite systems.
The first 500 meters of the cave consists of a tube-shaped chamber, over 80 meters high and 120 meters at its widest point. You’ll encounter towering, glittering stalactite structures along the way.
As you venture deeper, the formations become increasingly diverse and unique. You will witness rock formations in a variety of colors and shapes, as if sculpted by nature itself. The cave houses a biodiverse ecosystem, including fish, bats, spiders, and crickets. In the first 3.5 km, you may see hundreds of bats hanging from the cave ceiling. Further along, you'll encounter the junction of two shallow streams, where a cool breeze offers a refreshing rest stop.
At 4000 meters, you'll take a break, capture photos of the beautiful location, and create lasting memories.
Afterward, you’ll kayak over streams. In one section, you’ll need to crouch down to pass under the low cave ceiling.
The next part of the journey tests your bravery as you traverse a steep, rugged path along the stream bed, threading through narrow passages. The cave here resembles a labyrinth, and without a guide, one could easily get lost among the towering cylindrical stalactites.
After about an hour, you’ll reach "the Heaven Well," a natural formation that represents the harmony between heaven and earth in oriental culture. The smooth rocks between the streams, shaped like sculptures, offer a feast for the eyes with their colors and forms.
After enjoying lunch by the underground stream, you’ll have time to relax, take photos, and prepare for the journey back along the same route.
